Goals

The Goals module is a flexible incentive and gamfication module for your Drupal site. Using this module, the site administrator can create a series of ‘goals’ for users to achieve. The Goals module brings together the power of other popular modules (Rules, Views, User Points, Flag, etc.) to quickly create a robust gamification system.

What is a Goal?

A goal is a set of one or more tasks that the user must complete. Essentially, a goal is a container for tasks. When all of the tasks for a goal are completed by a user, the goal itself is marked as complete for the user.

When you create a number of goals which align with the behaviors you want to encourage on your site, you can quickly establish a gamification system which is easy to administer, highly customizable, and tailored to the needs of your site.

What is a Task?

A task is any action that you want site users to complete one or more times. In addition to simply counting the number of times an action is performed, you have the ability to place constraints for the timeframe in which an action is performed. Here are some examples of tasks which site administrators have created:
A user ‘Likes’ another user’s post.
A user contributes three posts of content within a week.
A user logs in to the site for three consecutive days.

Installation

Copy the goals directory to your modules directory and activate the module. The module needs the EntityAPI module and Rules module to also be installed on your site.

Once the Goals module is enabled, you can head over to “Administration » Configuration » Goals” to start setting up goals and tasks for users.
